Your Word of the Week: Hallux

Here’s a personal favorite, from the “I had no idea this word was necessary” department.

hallux – (n) the big toe.

There’s even an adjective form: hallucal. And, if you’re hungry for more, you can refer to your thumb as your pollex,

Usage: “This little hallux went to market.”

Use hallux in a sentence this week, and let us know what happens.
